Before he wrote the song that changed his life, Jason Mraz visited the museum that once was Bob Marley’s ancestral home in Kingston, Jamaica. Mraz enjoyed the cornmeal porridge served there, sat under the tree where Marley is said to have written the song “Three Little Birds” and dreamed about having a similar house where he could play music and entertain his band. Less than a year later, in the summer of 2004, Mraz had found his dream home in San Diego and wrote “I’m Yours,” one of the biggest hits of the 2000s.
